I’m a writer, speaker, lover of Jesus, and major fitness enthusiast. I am blessed with an amazing husband and four of the best kids you could ever ask for! My journey in the faith and fitness world has not been a straight and narrow path but I am so grateful for where it has led me and what it has taught me! My mission is to use the lessons I’ve learned to be a lighthouse for you on your journey!

What Is Training for Godliness?

Life is hard. If you have lived at all, you can resonate with that statement. I am a firm believer that it is hard by design. You were created for adversity and you were never meant to take it easy. There are countless hard things that you have a choice about every single day like going to the gym, eating a healthy meal, or sticking to your budget.  I am here to tell you today that you can do those hard things! Not only can you, but you should. Not only randomly, but frequently. Why? Because there are also days when you don’t get to choose. There are days when you don’t get a say and hard things just happen to you like losing a job, receiving a troubling diagnosis, or experiencing grief. It is on those days when a life of choosing hard things comes in handy. Every day that you choose to do the hard things with your eyes fixed on Jesus and your heart open to his voice, you are training yourself to do the same when the hard chooses you. This is what I like to call, training for Godliness.
